Start getting ready for the 2010 OutBack Pro-Am now before it is too late!

After receiving a press release from the Outback Pro-Am about giving local golfers the opportunity to play in the 2010 Outback Pro-Am in April that takes place at the highly recognized TPC Tampa Bay course. I thought now would be a great time to share a few photos and tell everyone a little about the TPC Tampa Bay facilities and the OutBack Pro-Am.
The TPC Tampa Bay driving range is wide open and waiting for you.

When Bobby Weed started playing golf when he was just 10-years-old he probably never even dreamed of designing golf courses. But in 1980 when Weed began working under Pete and Alice Dye at Long Cove Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C. it was a time that would change Weed's life forever. Two years later in 1982 Weed was appointed superintendent at the Dye-designed TPC at Sawgrass. By 1987 Weed worked his way up the latter to be named chief designer for PGA Design Services.
With help from Chi Chi Rodriguez in 1991, Weed took on the task to design the most respected and challenging sites on the Champions Tour, TPC Tampa Bay.
With green fees starting at $79.00 there is no reason why you shouldn't visit TPC Tampa Bay. TPC Tampa Bay has also recently renovated all of their greens which makes if feel like it is a brand new course.
Since Outback has became the title sponsor five years ago charity contributions have steadily increased and the Outback Pro-Am has contributed over $3 million to area charities.

Outback Pro-Am Saturday

After a long morning of stressing because my camera battery wouldn't hold a charge, delusional Tampa detours, and the fear of getting a speeding ticket I made it to the highly anticipated 2009 Outback Pro-Am at the Tournament Players Club in Tampa Bay, FL. I made it just in time to watch Andy Bean, Fuzzy Zoeller, Tim Condron, and Phil Theismann tee off and follow them to the 3rd hole. Bill Murry was set to tee off at 12:50 and that was something I was not going to miss. I wish I could have followed Bill [Murry] because just being around him was like being at your own comedy show. He did a great job keeping everybody laughing from start to finish. I couldn't even believe how well some of the Ams like Emmitt Smith, Mark Wahlberg, and George Lopez played as well. It was such a great time I can't wait until next year because we will be ready and waiting to do it all over again. Don't forget your hard hats, sun block, and to get there early!

I would like to give a special thanks to everybody at Outback Steakhouse and J. Cunningham for showing me around the Hornitos VIP booth.
