Victory Earns Him a Berth in the 2010 Open Championship at St. Andrews; Solidifies his 2nd Place Position in Charles Schwab Cup Standings

Carlsbad, Calif. (July 27, 2009) – TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Loren Roberts captured his second Senior Open Championship and 10th career Champions Tour victory Sunday at Sunningdale Golf Club. A final-round 67 put Roberts in a three-way, three-hole sudden death playoff that included fellow TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Fred Funk. Funk dropped out after the first hole and Roberts went on to win with a par on the third extra hole.

Sunday's victory was Roberts' fourth senior major championship and made him just the third multiple winner on the Champions Tour this season. The win earned him a berth in the 2010 Open Championship and solidified his second-place position in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
